Food Policy

Pacific Brook Christian School aims to be an egg, nut and seafood free school

Anaphylaxis is a potentially life threatening condition where sufferers are susceptible to severe allergic reaction to certain foods and other things in the environment. Since the safety of the children in our care is of the utmost importance,Pacific Brook Christian School aims to be an egg, nut and seafood free school. As such, please do not send any foods to school containing these items.

Must not bring: Peanut Butter/Nutella. Alternatives: Vegemite/Jam/Honey/Cheese/Meats
Must not bring: Nut museli bar
Must not bring: Mayonnaise/Tartare Sauce/Aioli/Ranch (any dressing containing egg). Alternatives: Tomato sauce/ BBQ sauce/Sour cream/Sweet Chilli/Mustard
Must not bring: Quiche
Must not bring: Meringue
Must not bring: Seafood (not just shellfish)
Must not bring: Chocolate containing nuts – Snickers/Picnic/Mars Bars (containing egg)
Must not bring: Kiwifruit

Special Occasions:

Examples:     Birthdays / End of Term or End of Year Functions

Cakes, biscuits, muffins, pikelets or other items containing egg or nuts must not be brought. Attached are a couple of Recipes- Egg and nut free to assist in items being brought to these birthdays or functions.

Ice cream cakes are a great alternative for birthdays.

Also, the following are a couple of other options for plates of food: chips, fairy bread, fruit or cheese platter, biscuits or rice crackers

School Hours

The Pacific Brook Christian School hours are from 8:45am to 2:50pm.

School Uniform

Literacy and Numeracy Plan
